PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

A good portrait freezes the moment, only to release a flood of memories in later years. There's nothing like a picture of your child or family to make you smile or to take you back in time.

My portrait work includes newborns, infants, toddlers, children, tweens, teens, adults, couples and families. We can even include your pets. There is never an extra charge for pets. They're family, too. Just let us know when you make your appointment that your pet is coming with you.

Your portrait can be formal or casual, taken indoors or outdoors. You can change clothes for different looks. We can use props, either some of mine or perhaps something from home that reflects your interests and personality.

Portrait Sessions

I like to take as many photos as the session time allows. A typical portrait session lasts about 60 minutes, but it could take longer depending on location, props, clothing changes, background changes, and the type of portraits you want.

We can hold the session indoors, outdoors, a combination of both, or at a location of your choice. Popular locations include your home, a local park, garden, lake, or river. Indoor and outdoor sessions at my studio are the same price. On-location sessions cost a little bit more to help cover travel and set-up expenses.

I have found that children do best in natural, outdoor settings where they can explore and be themselves. Infants, however, tend to do better in the studio. Where we hold the session is entirely up to you. I am flexible, if you are.

Before the session, we can look over a book of examples and discuss poses, props, finishing effects, and the type of photos you would like to see.

Picture Packages & Finishing Options

From a single digital image to a 20x30 gallery-wrapped canvas print, we can supply just about anything you want. I offer a variety of photo finishing options to enhance your portrait, including special backgrounds and framing effects; selective color and texture techniques; multiple poses in picture-on-picture, collage, and montage layouts; and special painting or sketching effects.

You can purchase prints strictly a la carte, or take advantage of one of my money-saving print packages. I have several packages featuring the more popular print sizes and quantities.

I also offer more than 350 personalized photo items that make great keepsakes or gifts, such as porcelain plates, baby bibs, blankets, growth charts, cutting boards, mouse pads, puzzles, coffee mugs, aprons, tiles, and much more.
