PET PHOTOGRAPHYMy cat, Boomer, is a big part of my life. I know your pet is special to you, too. For many of my clients, the photos I take of their pets hang right alongside their children’s or grandchildren’s portraits. If you feel this way about your pet, please consider having a professional portrait taken. Many of my clients tell me they wish they had known about me when their beloved dog or cat was still alive. A nice portrait is a wonderful way to keep your pet’s memory alive today and well into the future. Pet portraiture has become one of my favorite forms of photography. I love animals, and photographing them is a bit like working with children. Patience yields the best results. Your pet's portrait can be formal or casual, taken indoors or outdoors, with or without props. Have more than one pet? Put them all in the photo. You and the rest of the family can be in the photo, too. There is never any additional cost for multiple pets or people in the photos. To get started:
I will be happy to help you decide which session, picture package and options best fit you and your budget. I want your session to be fun and enjoyable! Portrait SessionsMy pet portrait sessions usually last about 45 minutes to an hour. It could be a little longer. With pets, I try to take as much time as necessary to get great shots. The portrait can be taken indoors or outdoors, or a combination of both. Many pets feel more comfortable in their own environment. For that reason, I can travel to your home and do the photo session there. I bring all the equipment needed for either an indoor or outdoor session. If you believe your pet does better away from home, we can have the session at my studio. We can also travel to a location of your choice. A natural outdoor setting, such as a park, lake, or gardens, can make a beautiful backdrop for pet photos. Before the session, we can look over a book of examples and discuss poses, props, finishing effects, and the type of photos you would like to see.
